Welcome to Heritage Baptist Church

Heritage Baptist Church was started by Rex DeVall as a military church in 1987 utilizing different buildings in the area surrounding KI Sawyer Air Force base. In February 1990 the church called Pastor Lon Russell as their full time pastor. At Easter 1990 the church moved to its current location in Carlshend, Mi. and has been in that location since that time.

When the Air Force base closed in 1997 the church was devastated. Their membership was reduced to just a few members, but they have remained faithful to the work that God had ordained for them.

Through the years the church has grown, and in the fall of 2022 they were able to break ground on a new building. That building was completed in January 2025 .
